Specializing in highly technical projects in the Mainframe environment
The Evans Group provides consulting services and training for the z/OS environment. We specialize in highly technical projects of short and medium term duration, including: ad-hoc support and problem determination; systems level assembler development; and training in the CICS environment.
With over 25 years of Systems level experience, company founder Russell Evans is well known for his expertise in assembler coding and all aspects of CICS. Russ regularly speaks at Share, and is a frequent contributor to Enterprise System Journal. All of Russ' presentations and technical articles are available on the downloads page.
The Evans Group is pleased to announce that Russ has been selected as an IBM Gold Consultant. The IBM Gold Consultant program consists of fewer than 100 independent consultants worldwide who have been recognized by IBM as providing superior service in the z/OS environment. Russ' nomination recognizes his ongoing commitment to CICS education and training through Share, user groups, technical articles, and whitepapers.
Russ will be attending Share in Pittsburgh August 3-8, where he will be presenting on the CICS Open Transaction Environment and on developing CICS pipeline handler programs to enhance the CICS Web Services Assistant. Russ' most recent Share presentations can be found in the Resource Room.
Russ' most recent article, CICS and the Open Transaction Environment: Are You Sure That Program Is Threadsafe? is now available on the Enterprise Tech Journal website.
